Our Review So stunned were we by the Primavera 50 Denier Velvet Lace Top Hold Ups that we pushed this 20 denier style up the queue for review. There are 4 sizes to choose from and our test pair for this style came in size 3, one size larger than the 50 denier version. Unlike the 50 denier version there is some shaping at the heel and the toe is lightly reinforced. The lace top is equally stunning, fully 17cm deep and beautifully made. This time the lace top is genuine lace rather than a pattern on a sheer voile but is still features the same directly bonded silicone bands to grip the leg. Sizing is accurate with good stretch lengthways but limited stretch in the lace top, so if you have big thighs beware. The lace top is pretty but compared side by side with the 50 denier version it comes out second best. The sheer legs have perfectly even colour. Well made and pretty hold-ups but not special like the 50 denier version 26 May 2011 |
