Our Review Primavera is unusual in being a brand that is not available from any of our partner retailers, nor indeed any retailer in the UK. So what are we missing? Wow!.. the hold up top is huge and made in a most intriguing way. The base is a sheer voile which would itself make for a delightful stocking to this is applied a floral design which has a velvet soft feel. Two silicone bands are provided to grip the leg and hold the stockings up. At 17cm this is one of the deepest stocking tops we have ever seen. There are four sizes to choose from and our test pair came in size 2, no surprise then that the leg looks ever so short compared to the top. The leg feels warm and soft inside and is made entirely plain. The toe is unreinforced. Sizing raises a few questions... in a good way though. These are very stretchy stockings so you have choices. If you buy the correct size for you then you will get a very dense even matt opaque look and you will have the option of having the top of the stockings right at the top of your thigh or lower for greater visibility. Go down a size and you can have a more semi-opaque matt look with them pulled right up or wear with the stocking top lower on your thigh. However you choose to wear them the two silicone bands will keep them in place. Those band are quite hard to see being bonded directly to the voile of the top without a backing tape so you get the lace look right to the top. If you like lace tops to you hold ups then these you really should seek these out. Smart, comfortable and ever so pretty. 26 May 2011
