Our Review

Cervin are regarded by the many as the epitome of French style with their seamed and fully fashioned stockings... to some the very fact that they make hold up stockings that do not need a suspender belt is near to heresy, but they do and here is an example. 

100% Nylon stocking so limited stretch, hence made in a choice of six sizes intended to fit up to a height of 6’1” (185cm) and weight of 210lbs (95kg). Helpfully for those of you from the UK who know your stocking size they are listed too.  There is quite a close correlation between the sizing on the chart and that on the Gio chart which you can see here.

At their heart these are RHT stockings and they have the look and feel of hosiery from decades ago.  They simply ooze class and that impression is increased by the Cervin motif that runs around the leg in the sub-welt.

All resemblance to classic stockings stops above the logo.  The welt you would see on classic nylons is reduced in depth so that it is just deep enough to allow a heavy lace top to the stitched to it.  Some 7cm deep the lace top is quite stiff and has two wide silicone bands to grip your leg.

Although limited the stretch available is sufficient to allow you to get the heel sat almost correctly even if your feet are 2 sizes bigger (based on that Gio size chart). The stretch also allows for wrinkles that you always get at knee and ankle with classic nylons to disappear quickly. Sizing is spot on.

As for look and feel on the leg it is just what you would expect of Cervin stockings. Perfect even colour, smooth to the touch and a superb swish when you cross your legs.

The hold up top looks great and works perfectly; so well that unless anyone sees they will be sure you are wearing classic nylons with suspenders.

The look and feel of classic nylon stockings without the need for a suspender belt.  If there are better sheer hold ups out there we can’t think of them.
