Our Review
Cervin make such a range of seamed stockings that it can be a little bewildering, so much so that I doubt that even we will have the full picture until we have reviewed them all and looked at them a second time. Fortunately based on our experience to date they are all top quality and a joy to behold.
So what makes this particular style stand out?
Well first off they are the most delightful stockings to handle, our sample pair in dark grey had us imagining what it would be like to hold mist in our hands. 15 denier does not begin to give any idea of how sheer these stockings feel.
Detailing is key in Fully Fashion stockings and these have every feature you could imagine. Reinforced toe, sole and heel of course, but still ever so sheer. The heel is fully shaped and has the Cuban Heel style (As distinct from Point or Pyramid) The 3 thread seam closes the stocking at the toe and runs under the sole, around the heel and up to very top of the welt. The classic styling continues with the parallel rows of tinny dots either side of the seam at mid calf and just blow the welt.
The transition to the deep welt is both stylish and comfortable and the welt itself is both beautifully simple and classically styled complete with finishing loop
As these are 100% nylon stockings with little or no stretch Cervin make them in a range of 6 sizes. The largest size is sized to fit a height of 6’1 (185 cm) and weight of 210 lbs (95kg). Various sizing schemes are also listed none of which are based on shoe size, leg length or thigh size.
So long as you have average sized feet for your height the foot length should be adequate for the heel to sit in the correct position, if you have big feet you may need to look at another brand or stye. As far as length is concerned we have no complaints about sizing
Under the tension of a quality suspender (we tested with StockingsHQ Fashion Suspense Flounce 6 Strap Suspender Belt) these stockings give a perfectly smooth second skin finish. Sit for a while and you get the inevitable wrinkles at heel and ankle that a feature of no-stretch stockings but they soon disappear once you are standing or walking. Crossing and re-crossing your legs will not disrupt the seam if you have a good quality suspender correctly positioned. If you do cross your legs the sound is ... exciting!
Such sheer stockings only ever give a shade to the legs and will not cover many blemishes. The colour is perfectly even and the finish silky smooth.
These are not cheap stockings but they are beautiful . They feel durable but buy two pairs so you are not left with an odd leg by an accident.
