Our Review The Cervin Seduction range is one of our favourites offering classic French styling and authentic detailing at a sensible price. There is probably no need to actually try these stockings at all because the basic construction of the entire range is the same with just the colours changing... here the twist is that the welt, heel and seam contrast with the base colour of the stockings. There are six sizes to choose from and getting the right size is vital as 100% nylon stockings do not offer the stretch of their modern Lycra rich cousins. Cervin provide sizing information based on height and weight but gain extra points with us for including proper UK stockings sizes too. Size 6 is UK stocking size 11 and should fit a tall (6’1”) well built (210lb) lady. 100% nylon sheer hosiery feels wonderful, and with the contrast detailing it looks wonderful too. Our test pair came in black and looked far more sheer than 15 denier; the contrast details of reinforced toe, sole and fully shaped heel together with the soft welt and 3 thread seam were red. Not quite the combination for the office maybe but perfect for fun! Stockings simply don’t get much better than this. Sizing is spot on and the feel on the leg is wonderful. Perfectly sheer with perfect even colour the look on the leg is stunning, run your hand over your leg and it is silky smooth; cross your legs though and the swish is so loud you need ear protection. Cervin have been so clever with the soft and slightly stretchy welt, it takes a suspender perfectly if you buy a quality one with metal clips (we tested with a StockingsHQ Fashion 6-Strap Mesh Front Belt) If you like real stockings you really must have a few pairs of Cervin Seduction and the contrast colours are the pick of the bunch for the party season 5 December 2011 |
