Our Review
Charnos sheer lustre tights are one of the first styles ever reviewed on our sister site TightsFashion. At first these stockings look very basic but the sandal toe and shaped heel are a clue that they are not so ordinary. The hold up band really is quite special, with a striking satin finish on the outside and a single deep ElasTAC band on the inside. Quality is top notch with a narrow transition band at the top of the sheer legs then a flat seam attaching the welt.
The look on the leg is gorgeous, sheer and lustrous. The feel is good too, ever so smooth and soft. The hold up top looks great and works well. One criticism is the sizing, Charnos claim size large will fit up to 6'0", we would suggest that is only true if you like your hold ups finishing at mid thigh.
If you are tall or just have long legs you can still enjoy these rather gorgeous stockings. The answer is a suspender belt, the satin band is stretchy and takes the metal clips of our test belt perfectly. The tension in the suspenders draws the stocking just a little further up the leg and hold them higher than the ElasTAC strip can manage.
On our test pair one stocking had a satin band a full inch deeper than the other, something we would expect to be picked up during manufacture or quality control. These could so easily be fantastic stockings but they are let down by silly faults. Falke Seidenglatt show us what these stockings should have been like.
