Our Review In these hard economic times it is nice to find real stockings at a sensible price. OK so purists will say that anything but 100% nylon is not “the real thing” and that 15% Lycra is what all the tights makers use for their bulk product but let us look at these stockings on their merits. 5 sizes to choose from to fit up to a weight of 101 kg or 227 lbs, which is great, but a maximum height of 5’9” (175cm) which is less generous. I can hear the purists shouting already that stockings should be sized based on foot size, and perhaps they have a point. What the purists would have to love though is the genuine RHT construction, not some added pattern knitted into the stretch fabric but real, sheer non-stretch details with a contrasting shiny finish. This marriage of classic details with modern stretch stockings is genius, it allows heel to sit correctly almost regardless of foot size and gives stretch stockings the authentic look while maintaining the skin tight fit. Sizing is not overly generous, the size chart is certainly accurate if you like your stocking top near the top of your thigh. If you are taller though there is stretch to be had and coupled with a good suspender belt you can make use of all of it. The lace top will take a suspender clasp very well so long as you have quality metal clasps. We tested with the StockingsHQ Flounce 6 Strap Suspender Belt, the lace of the stocking top sand the lace of suspender belt working well together. Stocking are all about showing off your legs of course and the perfect matt finish of these stockings does that beautifully.
