Falke really don’t tell us too much about these stockings on the packet other than that they are 20 denier appearance, colour amethyst (in the case of our test pair platinum and lack being the alternatives) and they come in 3 sizes to suit all heights from 4’9” to 5’11”.
 The first thing you notice when opening the packet is the detail of the hold up top, 3 plain bands, 4 if you count the thinner one stitched to the leg, alternating with more sheer bands carrying a tiny zigzag pattern.
Open the stockings out and you can both see and feel the ribbed design, this runs from the bottom of the welt all the way around the shaped heel and stops at the plain toe.
Sizing is quite generous, so much so that we would suggest that if you like to wear your hold ups with the top anywhere but the very top of your thigh you may want to consider going down a size. Fit is excellent and the three silicone bands behind the solid parts of the welt design hold your legs perfectly so you can be confident that your hold ups will hold up.
 The vertical design means that you must take care when dressing to get the lines straight, fortunately this seems very straight forward.
Beautifully designed and beautifully made hold ups that are a delight to wear. Not cheap at £19.00 but then true quality seldom comes with a small price tag.
