Our Review
The size chart refers to sizes 1 to 5, our test pair came in size 3/4 so we must assume that there is a smaller range of sizes for stockings than for tights. This makes sense for stockings that are not fully fashioned as only the leg volume is of importance.
No surprise then that the detailing of these stockings is quite straight forward; completely straight leg finished with a small reinforced toe at one end and a lace top at the other. The lace top is a delight, a very pretty pattern, around 6cm deep and detailed with a small “skirt” that covers the narrow reinforced top to the leg that provides the strength to stitch on the lace. Inside there are two bands of silicone to gip the leg.
There is plenty of stretch and strength too, the fit is near perfect and the colour perfectly even. At 20 denier the weight is heavy enough to cover imperfections in your skin, but light enough combined with the shine of the finish to give the impression of healthy skin rather than heavy hosiery.
Not that any of our readers would ever flash their stockings tops, but should the worst happen anyone seeing will admire your taste in hosiery. Our test pair in a colour called suntan gave little glitters of gold from the flowers in the lace top in the right light, very pretty.
