Our Review Kiss me Deadly- lingerie for the boudoir or effective shaping and suspenders for the daring and adventurous? It is quite amazing what a transformation six red bows and six red ribbons can make to a plain black suspender belt... particularly when coupled with matching bra and briefs, everyday is suddenly transformed into something special. The materials and workmanship match the quality of the design, our only disappointment is that this very English brand has had to resort to manufacturing in China. The sides and back of the belt are made of a sheer power mesh to provide fit and a smooth finish together with a little shaping, the front lace panel is non-stretch to help with keeping your stomach flat. The stand out feature for us is the boning over the hip, it gives this garment real form and structure and should help with fit, comfort and shaping. Each of the six wide adjustable suspender straps carries a quality metal clasp. The rear fastening has three rows of three hooks and eyes to give flexibility of fit and strength. Sizing is nominally as follows:
Our recommendation would be to look at your dress size first and the hips second. We found that an XL belt would easily fit a size 16 (no surprise as L is right for that) even though they had a 38” waist. That was on the smallest of the three settings on the hook and eye fastening.
The boning is a revelation! This belt sits perfectly smooth and flat both sitting and standing, comfortable too so an absolute delight to wear. We tested this belt first time with a pair of seamed red stockings from Clio. What a great combination! The clasps on this belt are easy to fasten and you can be confident that they won’t let you down. The belt stays perfectly in place, and comfortable, even under maximum suspender tension. Well made, sexy, comfortable and effective... you can’t really make a belt any better. 13 June 2011
