Much as we love tights it has always struck us as strange for hosiery makers to put tights size charts that refer to hip measurements on stockings packets. It made as much sense as selling men’s trousers by hat size. So one up to Knittex. The stockings themselves are quite simply designed with entirely straight legs finished with lightly reinforced toes. The lace top is some 9 cm deep and has the look and feel of genuine lace, It is attached to the leg by a well made flat seam. The appearance is a bit like a hold up without the silicone bands. Our one concern was that the lace top would cause problem when fixing suspenders, we need not have worried with our Nylon Dreams test belt there were no problems. Sizing was spot on, in fact you may even consider going down a size if your suspender have long straps, these stockings have lots of stretch and look better with a little tension in the straps. Look and feel on the legs is great, perfect even colour, a hint of sheen in the right light and smooth to the touch. At 15 denier these stockings should last well too. No prices for retail have been confirmed in the UK yet. 18 July 2008 |
