We haven’t always had good things to say about Leg Avenue, although on the whole their stockings are better than their tights. First impressions of these hold ups are quite good, the tops are a nice quality lace and the legs have quite a soft feel. The basic construction is straight forward with no shaping and no reinforcement at the toe, the top of the leg on the other hand is novel with the leg being finished with a stretch cuff and the lace being sewn outside.
For 100% nylon stockings there is a lot of stretch, particularly in length, and the fit is very good. The cuff arrangement does a good job of keeping everything in place, although if you have heavy thighs you may find it a little constricting. The lace also has stretch so will sit flat on your leg.
The look on the leg is completely matt with good even colour. The feel on the leg could be softer but all in all these are among the best stockings we have seen from Leg Avenue. At around 50 denier they are ideal for the winter.
