First impressions... lots of lace!
Taking the tights off the card you can see just where all the lace is, a very deep lace waistband, four lace “suspenders” and lace top to each leg. The legs themselves are straight with a simple seamed toe.
Putting suspender tights on can be tricky, and the cross over straps made us think that these would be tricker than most... but work through the waistband and they are a breeze to put on. There is lots of stretch in the legs despite the absence of Lycra and they look and feel great on. Sizing is spot on and there is enough stretch in the lace top to hold keep the tights up and a smaller lady and to stretch to fit a larger one.
The lace detailing is very pretty. We tested a pair in white, which of course had us thinking of weddings.. when else can you wear white hosiery? If you like the look of suspenders but find a traditional suspender belt uncomfortable or too much of a fiddle to put on then this is a good alternative for the big day.
Proof that Leg Avenue can get things spot on sometimes.
