Our Review Pink Minx describe these as Sheer black Stockings with red lace top, so it seems you can have any colour so long as it is black and red. There are very straight forward stockings that put us mind of stockings from the 1980s that managed stretch without Lycra.. they have that same look and feel, from the lightly reinforced toes to the very 2008 lace tops. We were a little surprised to find that these stockings are not designed as hold ups, there is no silicone banding to grip the leg. You will probably want to use all the of the considerable stretch in these stockings to pull then right to the top of your legs so as to give them the best chance of staying up. If you prefer a little insurance then the lace tops will take suspenders, and it has to be said that the addition of a black suspender belt really lifted the look to another level. Colour is not perfectly even on our test pair but with these stockings £3.50 buys you a lot of glamour and sex appeal so we can forgive that. Great for a date and a nice little secret to keep you smiling through the working day in the office. 8 October 2008 |
