We have the plus size version of these stockings but there is a smaller “one size” available at £2.95.
Leg Avenue continue to perplex us with their product naming, they call these “thigh highs” but picture them with suspenders, so surely they are stockings
No denier is given but we would take a guess at 10-12, these are very sheer stockings. There is no shaping and the toes are finished with a very lightly reinforced sandal toe detail. The welt is of course lacy.
There is no Lycra in the fibre but the knit gives lots of stretch in the legs. We are put in mind of hosiery from the pre-Lycra days when this was the only way to get stretch. The only risk with this is that they can sag during protracted wear, so wear a good suspender belt to keep them tight.
The colour is even with a nice matt finish.
These are perhaps the best stockings we have seen from Leg Avenue, smooth, sheer, soft and comfortable. Good for any occasion with the benefit of a very pretty lace top should anyone happen to see
There are better quality stockings to be had but these give a lot of style for little money. Very prone to snagging though, so take care.
