Our Review
Le Bourget maker these stockings in two colours and 4 sizes. As you can see from the pictures the colours are a Cannelle (a dark tan) and Volcan (dark grey); the sizes are designed for heights 5’1” to 6’1”.
We don’t see much 100% nylon hosiery so we were not sure what to expect, very small looking stretchy stockings we found when we opened the packet were a World away from what we had seen before. The detailing was a little unusual, the reinforced toe and deep welt were as expected but the darker and thicker hexagonal area to reinforce the heel was something new to us.
There is enough stretch to set the heel detail correctly even on quite a large foot but the limited overall stretch means that if you follow the size chart the stocking top will be just above mid thigh unless you have very slim legs.
The stocking top takes a suspender clip very well. Coupled with a quality suspender belt these stockings fit well and are comfortable. The matt mousse finish has perfect even colour and is reasonably soft to the touch, there is just enough texture to give a swish as you cross your legs.
Not high fashion, not fantastically sexy, but well made stockings that will work perfectly for every day.
