Our Review

Henry Ford was famous among other things for saying of his Model T car that you could have it in any colour so long as it was black. We have only seen these stockings in black too, but Le Bourget do at least offer a choice of red or black detailing in the lace top.   In our opinion it is the red that makes these stockings stand out from the crown so that is the colour combination we tested.

The four sizes cover a range of heights from 5’1” to 6’1”. Our test pair was the largest size and at first there was some confusion, the shaped leg opening out to just 15” long and looking quite out of proportion with the gorgeous deep lace top.

The leg material is sheer, smooth and soft.  Stretching one stocking over a hand to check the very lightly reinforced toe detail also showed just much stretch was provided by the 22% Lycra in the yarn.

Putting these stockings on is a breeze, there was no need to adjust them they fit perfectly with the silicone bands at the top of the thigh.  Once there we had no concerns about them slipping down again.

The look on the leg is pure class, sheer, perfect even colour no sagging and a really smooth finish.  The reinforced toes are barely distinguishable from the sheer legs.

These are stunning hold up stockings, and very reasonably priced considering hold ups normally cost far more than the equivalent stockings or tights.

Are there any problems with them?  Well yes.

Firstly the tops are so pretty you will be tempted to wear an indecently short skirt to show them off.

Secondly they feel so nice that you will want to keep crossing and uncrossing your legs or running your hand over them.

These stockings could get you into a lot of trouble.  Buy two pairs!
