Our Review
We just knew that we would like the stockings as soon as we saw the picture on the packet, that lace top is just delicious.
When first taking the stockings from the packet the top is just about all you notice the legs are so light, and so short, compared to the long and heavy lace top. Preparing them to smooth up your legs the huge amount of stretch from the high percentage of Lycra in the fibre is evident, as is the softness and lightness of the material.
The toes are very lightly reinforced otherwise the legs are entirely sheer all the way to the seam to the lace top. The seam between leg and top is flat, not as well finished as we would like but the imperfections are on the inside and the lace covers them. The seam completing the lace band of the stocking top is also flat and again not perfectly finished but this in no way impairs either the fit or the look.
There are four sizes and the sizing is accurate but not generous, if you like the tops of your stockings well up your thigh then we suggest going up one size.
The fit is like a second skin and the finish a delicate matt with the most subtle of sheens.
The most popular colour will probably be Ecru as shown on the packet and modelled by Stacey. There are suntan, natural and black shades too. The Ecru is clearly aimed at brides and will be perfect with an ivory or off-white dress; if you do buy these for your wedding day remember to buy two pairs and arm your bridesmaids with the spares.
Very attractive stockings that are too nice just to wear on your big day... we think the ecru looks great with a more daring outfit too.
A few minor issues with finish quality but these do not effect the look of the stockings and at £7.99 the price is right.
