Our Review If you plan to buy these hold ups please look at the packet carefully as there are two distinct styles and they both come with the same picture on the packet... and it isn’t the picture above on current stock, we are avoiding showing that picture to avoid confusion. This version is 12 denier with a lace top, the other other version (described as seamless) is 15 denier and has a plain top so is more suitable under clingy clothes. One of the things we really like about Levante is their sizing which goes medium, tall, extra tall and is designed to fit up to a lofty 6’1” (185cm). That said including hip size on a hold up packet will always annoy us... tip: if your hold ups are over your hips you bought the wrong size! There is a good choice of colours in this style too, black, grey and two tan shades. The lace top is some 9cm deep, carries a floral design and has a scalloped top. For keeping these stockings up there are two wide silicone bands. A good quality flat seam attaches the lace top to the sheer leg. The sheer leg is entirely sheer to the toe seam and has just a hint of shaping at at the heel. The finish on these stockings is gorgeous, smooth to the touch with a lovely sheen. The look is sheer and expensive but at the same time there is a feeling is strength and durability. As for the sizing, slightly generous and with lots of stretch. Follow the size chart and you will be able to wear with the top of the hold up right at the top of your leg should you wish. Fit is good enough to give barely there look if you wear the right shade. The hold up top works, and is comfortable enough to be quickly forgotten.
