Our Review With every season the range of hosiery styles and ideas gets wider and wider, animal prints, lingerie inspired designs, tattoo designs, diamante, Lurex, spots, stripes.... but what if you want something stylish and different that has a sheer leg look as suited to the office as the office party? Lores have taken a standard 20 denier hold-up and added a 6” / 150cm deep lace top and as an alternative to the black top on the black stocking they have added a rose pink lace top. The stocking is shaped at the heel and has a reinforced sheer toe that actually looks finer than the leg. There is a great sense of strength and quality to the material. The lace top is flat seamed to the leg and there is quite a deep fringe to ensure that that the join is fully covered. Darker red and salmon pink highlights on the rose pink lace background add to impression of something special. Two silicone bands suggest that the lace top is not just for show. Sizing is accurate and we commend Lores for basing the sizing on foot length, leg length and overall height... not a mention of hip size, Hooray!! The hold up top is both comfortable and effective. Colour is perfectly even and there is a nice sheen to the finish. There are couple of tiny issues in the detailing, a fine dark line at the toe/foot transition and the dark reinforced top of the stocking is visible through the pink lace. Things a picky reviewer will spot but you and your friends probably won’t. We love the fact that with the stocking top safely up under your skirt these could be any pair of black stockings or even tights... quite acceptable for the office. But wear a slightly shorter skirt and show a little of the shocking top and you will be the centre of attention at a party and stopping traffic in the street. Highly recommended 7 November 2011
