Our Review We recently looked at another version of Lores style 183, that version had the 6” / 15cm hold up top in a contrasting colour this version has the more traditional matching colour top. In pretty well every other detail these stockings are the same as their contrast top sister. 20 denier stretch stocking, shaped at the heel and finished with a sheer reinforced toe detail. The toe detail is interesting in that it actually looks more sheer than the rest of the leg being of a closer knit. The lace stocking top features two wide silicone bands to grip you leg and to ensure your stockings stay in place. Sizing is based on foot size, leg inseam and height; there are just two sizes to choose from but that is all that is needed as there is plenty of stretch lengthways, enough to exceed the maximum suggested leg length by 10% and still have the stocking top at the top of your leg. We did notice that these are quite slim fitting stockings so if your legs are much above average width you may struggle. Fit is like a second skin and the finish is flawless. Reasonably smooth to the touch there is enough texture to provide an audible swish when you cross your legs. A very sophisticated look delivered for a sensible price. 29 December 2011 |
