Words like “class” and “quality” are often used in the descriptions of all manner of things but they really only convey an impression rather than any real information.  That said I am sure that you will know just what we think about these hold ups from Max Mara if we say that the simply design oozes booth class and quality.

These are ultra fine fishnet stockings finished with an unreinforced toe detail and shaped at the heel.  The welt is a plain 5cm deep band of quite heavy elastic that carries two silicone bands to grip the leg.  The only “design” to be seen anywhere is Max Mara motif that runs around the welt.

There are three sizes to choose from to suit heights up to 6’1”.  The sizing is accurate but not overly generous. The twin silicone bands do a fantastic job of holding the tops in place and unlike with many hold ups you never get the impression that they will move. The fit is excellent the 15% Lycra provides for plenty of stretch and a very close fit indeed, the material follows the curves of your leg however much you bend and move.

The tulle knit provides for a perfect even colour with a matt finish when viewed from anything more than a few metres away.  

You have to get very close, and very intimate, to see the Max Mara motif but you will know you are wearing quality without having to flash the label.

Beautifully made, simply detailed, high quality, top class hold ups.  Between sheer and fishnet and a suitable replacement for either at any time of day
