Our Review Oroblu is one of the dark horses of the hosiery world. When we first looked at their tights way back in 2002 they were an everyday middle market producer offering good quality at reasonable prices, over the years the quality of their hosiery has simply got better and better. So high hopes for these hold ups. First impressions? A stunning deep lace top, 13cm / 5” deep dominates, pretty much all you see when you open the packet. It is not just pretty either, two deep silicone bands at the top promise a great grip on your leg and the flat seaming to the leg is beautifully executed. The legs are smooth, sheer and soft to the touch. Lightly shaped at the heel and with a reinforced toe there is quality in evidence but it is the lace top that is the main event. There are three sizes to choose from and the sizing is spot on. The 16% Lycra in the fibre provides plenty of stretch and a second skin fit. Look and feel on the leg is pure class. Smooth finish, perfect even colour and a very gentle squeeze of the leg to remind you they are there. That fancy lace top looks and feels gorgeous. Far be it from us to suggest unladylike behaviour but you simply have to share that lace top, either going all out wearing with a mini skirt (you will cause car crashes!) or just giving the odd little flash. Whatever your past experience of hold ups is, whether you normally wear tights or stockings with suspenders, you really have to try a pair of Oroblu Prestige Hold Ups. Once you have them on you really won’t want to take the off, and of course you don’t have to. Worth nearly £15... every penny! 30 September 2011 |
