Our Review

The name, the description and the fibre mix of these hold up stockings all tell us that they are made to give you that tanned look and keep you cool in the summer months.  

The key summer features are the sandal toe detail to allow you to wear with open toe shoes and the polyurethane in the fibre which both enhances the “healthy glow” of the finish and provides some cooling.

As far as detailing goes there is not much to say about the legs, these are simple straight very sheer hold ups.  Only the welt really stands out as a piece of innovation and even then it is in a way that only you will see.    If you take a look at the pictures of Stacey you will see that the stocking top is patterned with two broken lines either side of a row of stylised roses; what makes this innovative is that rather than have a silicone band to grip your leg the silicone replicates the pattern. The other nice touch is that the welt is made without any seam.

There are three sizes to choose from and the sizing is accurate.  Of course if you have long legs for your height you can go up a size so the welt sits at the right height on your thigh. The welt holds in place perfectly, the patterned silicone making a far better job of keeping the welt in shape and in position that standard bands.

The finish on the leg is gorgeous, whether you choose to make a statement with a darker shade or you match your skin tone for an “is she? isn’t she?” oiled leg look.

Not the cheapest summer hold ups but you will go a long way to find something that looks better and feels better on.  And they really do keep you cool.
