Our Review Thin cincher was sent to us to be reviewed as a suspender belt, or at least as an alternative to one but the four adjustable suspender straps are removable so you can wear it for shaping when you are wearing hold ups, or dare we say it tights, when suspenders are not required. 7 panels make up the garment and there is light boning in-between the panels that extends 80% of the way down from the top. Designed to be wrapped around and fastened at the front the closure is provided by by eleven hook and eye fastenings. Be aware that there is just one row of eyelets so there is no adjustment... choose your size carefully. Sizing: extra small (24" waist), small (26"), medium (28"), large (30"), x large (32"), 2x large (34"), 3x large (36"), 4x large (38"), 5x large (40"). The fastening at the front means you won’t need and help putting the cincher on. Lacy at the front and mesh as the sides and at the back you get the perfect combination of style and comfort. The only issue we found was that when wearing without stockings and suspenders attached the bottom hem tended to roll up at the front when sitting. With stockings attached the rolling problem is reduced but not removed, two more straps would have been better both for holding up your stockings and helping the cincher stay flat. Of course if you are dressed in this type of lingerie and wearing your best stockings you will want to be standing and showing off your waist and legs and while standing everything is fine. A well made garment, nicely finished and equipped with metal suspender clasps. 10 June 2011 |
