Our Review
There is a constant debate among devotees of “real” stockings as to just how many straps you need on your suspender belt. On the one hand less than four is clearly not enough and if 4 is enough why do you need more... but others say more is better. Of course a supremely effective suspender belt loses some of its appeal if it take half a lifetime to fasten all the clasps. 6 straps seems to be the optimum number for combining effectiveness and ease of dressing, but what should we make of a belt with 6 straps, but 12 clasps?
Aside from the V-clips this is fairly ordinary belt made of smooth stretch fabric with almost a satin look and feel. The only decoration is a lace detail along the bottom edge.
The stretch material will help with fit and comfort and satisfying a range of sizes; there is also size adjustment in the rear fastening that has three rows of three hooks and eyes. Sizing based on waist measurement is as follows: small (24"-28"), medium (30"-34"), large (36"-40"). No need to worry about picking a colour, it is black.
Made in England for StockingsHQ we can’t fault the workmanship.
The stretch fabric is a delight to wear, smooth and soft it feels more like a pair of panties than a suspender belt, but how it is at holding up stockings?
Our first look at this belt was with Gerbe Soyance 15 Stockings, they look stunning but have a satin top that is a little thick to take a suspender clasp easily... it was comforting to know that when one or two clasps came unfastened all the straps were still attached.
The six strap, 12 clasp look really works and the shiny belt looks great with shiny stockings and sublime with stockings with a satin top.
Stylish, comfortable, sexy and effective this belt is a must for your wardrobe. Such a pity it only comes in black.
