Trasparenze say nothing about these stockings on the packet, indeed it is only the Italian “autoreggente” on the back of the packet that tells us they are hold ups. To be fair there is a size chart too, sizes 2 t0 4 are available covering heights from 4’9” to 6’1”.

First impressions are excellent, there is a huge lace top a full 6” (15cm) deep, it is very pretty lace too, and lace fringes over the seam to the sheer legs to add a little more class.

The leg is shaped at the heel and finished with a very lightly reinforced sandal toe, quite suitable to wear with open toe shoes.

Good quality hosiery manages to feel more sheer than expected, but at the same time feel far stronger than it looks.  These stockings ooze quality.

Despite being 30 denier our test pair in playa (sand/beach) simply blended into our model’s skin. The gentle sheen on the finish and the excellent even colour did a perfect job of hiding blemishes and enhancing shape to really flatter the legs.

The hold up top has two deep silicone bands very close to the top that grip the leg without any squeezing. Everything about the lace top shouts quality from the seams holding them to the leg, to the flat seam up the back of the lace top.

Sizing is accurate to generous, you should only need size 4 if you have very long or big legs.

A real winner from Trasparenze... perfect for the Spring and Summer in natural shades or darker shades for the colder months.
