It is not hard to see where the inspiration for the design of these hold up stockings came from; a red rose climbing a trellis against a whitewashed wall describes the design to a tee... or should that be tea as in Hybrid Tea rose?
In less horticultural terms these are plain stockings with a large diamond pattern in the background colour and a back seam in the form of a climbing rose. Two sizes are available 1/2 for weight and height up to 70 kg and 170 cm and 3/4 for up to 85 kg and 180 cm.
The detailing starts with a sandal toe, very sensible on hosiery so obviously designed with summer in mind, and continues with a shaped heel. The climbing rose pattern starts on the outside ankle, yes there is a left and a right in the pair, and continues all the way to the 3 cm deep hold up top. The hold up top is a simple elastic band with a very simple yet pretty lace edge, grip on the leg is provided by a single silicone band.
The construction oozes quality, it is clear that a lot of work went into turning the idea into the reality. Incidentally... kick off your shoes and sit with your feet up and everyone will know you are wearing Trasparenze... it is written on the sole of each foot.
Not cheap at £15.95 but in our opinion even sheer holds up this well made would be worth close to that. The design will divide opinion but we think they are perfect for that outdoor summer party. Buy a pair now and wait for summer to arrive
