Our Review As soon as we took these stockings out of the packet we realised that we were on to something special. The legs are quite ordinary, sheer with sandal toe with a matt finish and perfect even colour, it is the welt that stands out. What Veneziana have done is to make the classic sewn over stocking top but rather than use sheer material of the same colour as the leg they have made it from a layer of black net and a layer of red so that the read shows through the net... very effective. The welt is not light and we thought we would get out a top quality suspender belt to make sure the clasps could get a good grip, and keep it. Much to our surprise the welt seemed to be almost self supporting, a gentle caress around the thigh keeping it in place. For security we used the suspender anyway and found the welt looked even better under gentle tension. Comfortable to wear and great to look at Veneziana Cancan stockings are a must have for only £7.95. 19 September 2011 |
